Sparking Change: Q2’s Community Impact in 2022

Sparking Change: Q2’s Community Impact in 2022

We are as passionate about our people as we are about our mission to build strong and diverse communities. This mission extends to the communities where our team members live, to the financial institutions we serve and to the communities they support. It also provides a model for how Q2 team members work together to support each other and benefit the causes in which they believe. One way we achieve this is through Q2 Spark, our corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, which encourages and rewards our employees for using their time and talents to serve their communities.

The global impact of Spark in 2022 is vast and noteworthy. Q2ers volunteered more than 9,000 hours for 216 philanthropic organizations. That’s the equivalent of more than one month of round-the-clock volunteer hours and a 100% increase from 2021! Team members made impacts in their communities – with volunteer opportunities ranging from serving hot meals to students in India to improving playgrounds in Central London to hosting a toy drive for kids in foster care in Central Texas.

Q2 also made a big impact in 2022 through charitable giving. In combination with employee giving, we contributed more than $1 million to philanthropic organizations worldwide – including 25 diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)-focused causes and organizations, representing a 79% increase from 2021. 2022 was a particularly exciting year second year for Spark, as it marked a meaningful first for Q2, the launch of the Q2 Philanthropy Fund. This fund awarded grants totaling $120,000 to 12 nonprofit organizations around the world, including Triangle Land Conservancy (Cary, NC), The Akshaya Patra Foundation (Bangalore, India), CEDARS Home for Children (Lincoln, NE) and Girlstart (Austin, TX). These nonprofits were selected by a committee of Q2 employees who volunteered to serve in this leadership role.

In addition to taking care of our local and global communities, we generously take care of one another through the Q2 Compassion Fund, which provides grants to Q2 team members who have been impacted by natural disasters or unforeseen circumstances. It warms my heart deeply to know that we care for the world and each other – we are sparking change and creating the world we envision for our futures.

I invite you to take a moment to see how Q2 is living out our mission to build strong and diverse communities in the 2022 community impact report.

We have long believed people are committed to making an impact with each other and in their communities and we believe that Q2 Spark empowers our people to do just that. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past year and I’m eager to see what Q2 team members will accomplish in 2023 as we continue to build a community of philanthropists across our organization.
