Every year, Q2 provides financial institutions (FIs) with comprehensive industry updates and networking opportunities during CONNECT, its annual client conference. This year, Q2 shifted CONNECT 20 to a series of events in the digital channel, responding to FIs’ needs of a more flexible schedule, as well as relevant content specific to this unique moment in time.

Q2 wanted to honor the CONNECT 20 award recipients by sharing a more in-depth, online spotlight on the incredible accomplishments executed this past year. Winners were recognized for excellence in eight separate categories.

The CONNECT 20 award for the Credit Union Customer of the Year is awarded to a credit union that best embodies all the criteria for the CONNECT 20 awards, exhibiting excellence in growth, creativity, collaboration, innovation, and focus on community. Based in Lake Jackson, Texas, since 1955, Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (TDECU) is dedicated to providing exceptional digital experiences for account holders.

Strategy and Results

As part of its dedication to account holder experiences, TDECU created a collaborative, continuing roadmap with Q2 to more closely align its goals to the evolving needs of its members. This strategic roadmap included an upgrade to the most recent version of the Q2 Platform and incorporated multiple Q2 digital solutions to address a wide array of member needs.

TDECU’s strategic roadmap will continue to progress, but the positive results are already clear in some notable outcomes.

  • The platform upgrade expanded digital capabilities, resulting in positive member feedback.
  • A strategic decision to enable the in-app ratings prompt saw Apple App Store ratings grow from 2.3 to 4.5 stars and Google Play ratings from 3.7 to 4 in less than a week.
  • Incorporating the PSCU adapter empowered TDECU to receive real-time credit card data.
  • TDECU has seen thousands of members adopt digital personal financial management tools, elevating member engagement and supplying valuable data for the credit union.

These are only some of the successes TDECU has seen; it’s their deep strategic connection to Q2 that has created mutual, digital success and earned them the nod for the Credit Union Customer of the Year CONNECT 20 award.
