CONNECT 20 Concludes Today with an Expanded Event Format

Early in 2020 as the discussions around COVID-19 became a reality, it seemed increasingly likely the Q2 team would need to investigate new ways to present the types of educational and networking opportunities attendees have come to expect of our annual client conference, CONNECT. Equipped with learnings from virtual conferences we had attended, input from customers, and a determination to make the most of CONNECT no matter the platform, we set out to design a new kind of event for Q2 customers and prospective customers alike.

We took a risk by moving CONNECT into the digital channel, and we’re glad we did. In doing so, we were able to provide free registration for attendees and an array of learning opportunities presented in a way that was responsive to the stresses being felt by FI professionals across the globe.

Opportunities to engage and learn

In adapting to the new normal, we were able to not only provide three information-packed events over the previous months, we also designed the larger event taking place today that more closely reflects the traditional CONNECT experience. Throughout today’s conference, attendees will choose among presentations tailored to this moment-in-time when digital banking is more important than ever. We’re also offering nine on-demand sessions, seven on-demand sessions presented by our sponsors, and a number of useful product demos.

What’s more, we’ve built an interactive, virtual Exhibit Hall for attendees to tour. Old favorites are back as well; Q2 experts will be on hand in the HUB to showcase Q2 products and the Design Lab will let attendees take a closer look at Q2’s innovation efforts. Engagement and interaction is still critical and possible, even in a virtual format.

What’s in store for future CONNECT events?

One of Q2’s guiding principles is the notion that change is good. While we would love to say with certainty what next year’s CONNECT will look like, we have learned that it’s critical to respond to the reality of the situation in front of us. Whether CONNECT 21 is held in person, virtually, or through a combination of both, we’re eager to continue to support the evolving needs of the industry. We extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to the attendees, sponsors, and other participants who made this year’s conference series a success.
