California Privacy Notice

 

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) requires us to provide you with the following additional information about: (1) the purpose for which we use each category of “personal information” (as defined in the CCPA) we collect; and (2) the categories of third parties to which we (a) disclose such personal information for a business purpose, (b) “share” personal information for “cross-context behavioral advertising,” and/or (c) “sell” such personal information.

Under the CCPA, “sharing” is defined as the targeting of advertising to a consumer based on that consumer’s personal information obtained from the consumer’s activity across websites, and “selling” is defined as the disclosure of personal information to third parties in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration. We “share” information (e.g., cookie data, IP addresses, device identifiers, and usage information) to provide more relevant and tailored advertising to you regarding our Services.

Q2 does not sell your personal information to third parties.

Q2 does not collect your “sensitive personal information” (as defined in the CCPA) so Q2 does not use or disclose your sensitive personal information.

The following chart is applicable to personal information we collect directly from you when you use our Site or that we collect at events, such as conferences or meetings, and the following chart is applicable to personal information we collect indirectly from third-parties.

In the event of a conflict between the terms of this California Privacy Notice and the terms of Q2’s Privacy Policy, the terms of this California Privacy Notice shall control.

 

Your choices regarding the selling/sharing of your personal information

You may opt out of Q2 “selling” your personal information (although Q2 does not sell your personal information) and Q2 “sharing” your personal information for purposes of online analytics and advertising by visiting or by e-mailing privacy@q2.com.

 

Do-Not-Track. 

Currently, our systems do not recognize browser “do-not-track” requests. You may, however, disable certain tracking (e.g., by disabling cookies). You also may opt-out of targeted advertising by following the instructions in the Third-Party Ad Network section of our Privacy Policy.

 

Explanation of CCPA rights

Right to know. You have a right to know what personal information Q2 has collected about you, including the categories of personal information, the categories of sources from which the personal information is collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information, the categories of third parties to whom Q2 discloses personal information, and the specific pieces of personal information Q2 has collected about you.

Right to access. You have the right to request the specific pieces of personal information Q2 has collected about you.

Right to delete. You have the right to delete personal information that Q2 has collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.

Right to correct. You have the right to correct inaccurate personal information that Q2 maintains about you.

Right to opt-out. If Q2 sells or shares personal information, you have the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information by Q2. However, Q2 does not sell your personal information.

Right to limit use of sensitive information. If Q2 uses or discloses “sensitive personal information” (as defined in the CCPA) for certain purposes, you have the right to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information by Q2. However, Q2 does not collect your sensitive personal information.

Right to not receive discriminatory treatment. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by Q2 for the exercise of privacy rights conferred by the CCPA.

 

How to Exercise Your Rights. 

If you would like to exercise your right to know, right to access, right to delete, or right to correct, you may make a request by sending us a written request to privacy@q2.com, by completing our online request form, or by calling 1-833-444-2469. If requested by e-mail, in your message, please indicate the right you would like to exercise and the personal information that you would like to know, access, delete, or correct.

You may opt out of Q2 “selling” your personal information (although Q2 does not sell your personal information) and “sharing” of your personal information for purposes of online analytics and advertising by visiting or by e-mailing privacy@q2.com.

If you use an authorized agent to submit a request to know, access, delete, or correct your personal information, we require that you verify your own identity directly with Q2 and directly confirm with Q2 that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request.

We may ask you for additional information to confirm your identity and for security purposes before processing your request. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law, for instance if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

We may not always be able to fully address your request, for example if it would affect the duty of confidentiality we owe to others or if we are legally entitled to deal with the request in a different way.

Retention of your personal information

We may retain your personal information for a period of time consistent with the original purpose of collection, or for as long as required to fulfill our legal obligations. We determine the appropriate retention period for personal information on the basis of the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information being processed, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of the personal information, whether we can achieve the purposes of the processing through other means, and on the basis of applicable legal requirements (such as applicable statutes of limitation). We will delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed to fulfill the original purpose of collection unless a longer retention period is required to comply with applicable laws.

Children Under 16

Our Site is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children. If we discover that a child under the age of 16 (or such other appliable age of consent for privacy purposes in relevant individual jurisdictions) has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our systems. If there is any data that we are unable, for technical reasons, to delete entirely from our systems, we will implement appropriate measures to prevent any use of such data.

B2B Personal Information

To the extent there is a conflict with this section versus other sections in this California Privacy Policy, this section shall control.

If you are: (i) an employee or contractor of a client or potential client of Q2 (e.g. an employee at a financial institution) and you use a product or service provided to the client by Q2 (e.g. a customer portal); or (ii) you are an employee or contractor of a partner or potential partner and you use a developer portal provided by Q2, in both situations Q2 may be collecting personal information from you.

Q2 does not “sell” your personal information.
